Zahra Bukhari
Zahra is a designer and artist currently residing in the New Jersey/New York area. Recently, she worked as a Designer for GHD Partners which is a design firm located in New York City that focuses on designing for the built environment. Previously, she attended Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts where she graduated with her BFA in Visual Arts with concentrations in Printmaking and Design as well as her certificate in Women’s Leadership. After attending Rutgers, she went on to study Islamic theology and jurisprudence receiving her certificate at the Karamah Institute in Islamic Law and Leadership. Zahra continues to conduct independent research on Islamic feminism and Islamic art and design history and hopes to shed light and unveil some of the forgotten histories within the Islamic narrative.
